We plan to reach out to them, but we have a globally scalable platform with a crime section to efficiently replicate the site in about three million cities around the world. The v1.0 is up for public access, but we have been hammering out the final TOS and will be purging all accounts after we upload the final TOS/PP.

Journalists can now go back to investigating and writing. No more technical nonsense!

Best,

Raising the issues the site does looks like a good idea, because it might get people thinking beyond the immediate and understandable reactions often encouraged by much mainstream and, by extension, much social media. To be more 'socially innovative', though, I'd have liked to have seen things that challenge the audience more directly to look for cultural, social and psychological - as well as civic, economic and racial - factors, to give people a wider appreciation of the fuller context of such issues. Potentially difficult with such a subject matter, but more helpful in the long run, I think.

Bearing in mind that many road deaths are little short of murder, made legal/excusable by using a car instaed of a gun or knife, could road deaths be fed in to this system, gradually, as I appreciate that whilst homicide levels are high in the US, the low value placed on lives, extends acoss the board, to an even larger rate of carnage for simply being on the road.

Cyclists especially are enraged by the casual way even a hit & run driver can just get a small fine and a slap on the wrist for killing another person. Give this some thought.
